The Board of Directors and Management

John K. Shubin is a founding partner in the law firm of Shubin & Bass P.A, with offices in Miami and Tampa, Florida and Co-Chairman of the Open Land Fund, L.L.C., the parent of Lock & Hackle. Most widely known for his expertise in complex land use and zoning matters, he has represented the interests of local governments, citizen and neighborhood groups, environmental groups and regional and national developers, and has successfully argued cases before the Supreme Court of Florida, the Third District Court of Appeal and at the federal and state trial levels. John is also the Chief Executive Officer, along with Jeffrey Bass, of The Euclid Group, a consulting firm that advises property owners and investors on "higher and better use" strategies with respect to real property that is constrained by either land use regulations or environmental considerations. A Miami native, John is a graduate of Harvard University, with honors, with an A.B. in 1983; from St. John's College, Oxford University, with high honors, with a post-graduate B.A. in 1985; and from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, with a J.D. in 1988. While at the University of Miami, John was Editor-in-Chief of the Inter-American Law Review. He and his wife Susannah have two children, Georgia, 7 and Genevieve, 6.

Jeffrey S. Bass is also a founding partner in the law firm of Shubin & Bass, P.A., Co-Chairman of The Open Land Fund, and a Chief Executive Officer of The Euclid Group. Similarly known for his expertise in complex land use disputes, Mr. Bass practices commercial litigation, land use and zoning law, and also maintains an active appellate practice. Jeff grew up on Long Island before attending Duke University, graduating cum laude in 1989. He received his law degree in 1992 from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served as an Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Review. Jeff and his wife Heather live in Coconut Grove, Florida with their son, Connor.

Mark Carnegie is a principal of Carnegie, Wylie & Company, a private equity and corporate advisory firm. Prior to the establishment of Carnegie, Wylie & Company, Mark was the principal of Pacific Edge Corporation Pty. Limited. In both roles, he has consulted with a number of Australian and international clients on Asia-Pacific private equity investments, such as assisting Hellman & Friedman with a number of Australian based investments, including the acquisition of Fairfax as part of the Tourang consortium, and working with John Singleton in the development of a media-based portfolio of private equity investments. Mark is the Chairman of Singleton Group Limited, a Director of Neverfail Springwater Limited and Easycall Asia Limited and a former Director of Hoyts Cinemas Limited. In addition, Mark sits on the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, and is a Director of a number of privately held companies, including The Text Media Group, GE Business Express and Manboom.

Mark has a BSc (Hons) from Melbourne University and an MA from Oxford University
